CEED Entrance Examination (Common Entrance Exam for Design)

Gateway to Advanced Design Education. Creativity. Innovation. Research.

CEED (Common Entrance Exam for Design) is India’s most important national-level entrance examination for admission into postgraduate design programs. It is conducted for candidates aspiring to pursue M.Des (Master of Design) and PhD in Design at premier institutions such as IITs and IISc.

What is CEED?

CEED is a national-level entrance examination that evaluates a candidate’s design aptitude, creativity, visual perception, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.
Unlike syllabus-based exams, CEED focuses on design thinking and application of ideas, making it ideal for advanced design education.

Why CEED is Important for Design Aspirants

CEED is not just an exam.
It is the gateway to India’s top design institutions.

CEED ensures:
  • Entry into IITs & IISc for design education
  • Standardised evaluation of design aptitude
  • Access to advanced design research & innovation
  • High academic and professional credibility
  • Pathway to leadership roles in design industry
