Course Duration / பாடநெறியின் காலம்

Regular Diploma (After 10th Standard)

Duration: 3 Years (6 Semesters)
Every semester — 6 months (Theory + Practical + Internal Assessment).

Example:

• Diploma in Civil / Mechanical / EEE / ECE / Computer / Automobile – 3 Years

• Diploma in Textile / Printing / Architecture Assistantship – 3 Years

10ஆம் வகுப்பு முடித்த பிறகு சேரும் டிப்ளமோ படிப்புகள் 3 ஆண்டுகள் (6 அரையாண்டுகள்) கொண்டவை.
ஒவ்வொரு அரையாண்டிலும் பாடங்கள், practicals, internal assessment, laboratory training இடம்பெறும்.

Lateral Entry Diploma (After +2 Vocational / ITI)

Duration: 2 Years (4 Semesters)
Admission directly into 2nd year of Diploma programme.

+2 (HSC) அல்லது ITI முடித்த மாணவர்கள் நேரடியாக இரண்டாம் ஆண்டில் சேரலாம். இந்த வகை படிப்பின் காலம் 2 ஆண்டுகள் தான்.

Qualification & Eligibility (தகுதி மற்றும் கல்வித்தகுதி)

After 10th Standard (SSLC) / 10ஆம் வகுப்புக்குப் பிறகு

Eligibility:

• Must have passed SSLC / 10th Standard from a recognized board (State / CBSE / ICSE).

• Maths & Science subjects compulsory for technical courses.

• 10ம் வகுப்பு முடித்த மாணவர்கள் Diploma, ITI, Vocational, Skill Training மாதிரியான படிப்புகளில் சேரலாம்.
  இவை நேரடியாக வேலைவாய்ப்புடன் தொடர்புடைய பாடங்கள் ஆகும்.

 After 12th Standard (HSC) / 12ஆம் வகுப்புக்குப் பிறகு

Eligibility:

• Must have passed HSC / +2 from Tamil Nadu State Board or equivalent.

• Students can join Diploma directly in 2nd year (Lateral Entry).

 Cut-off Calculation (கணக்கீடு)

• Admissions are merit-based, calculated from 10th or 12th marks.
• Separate cut-off lists published by colleges or DoTE.
• No entrance exam for regular diploma admission.

• Apply online via Directorate of Technical Education (DoTE) → https://www.tndte.gov.in
• Selection = merit-based (10th / 12th marks).
• Seats allotted district-wise by category / community.
• Report to the allotted college and confirm admission.
